The city of Lafayette has made the same declaration and will celebrate Elemore’s life this year in conjunction with Second Saturday ArtWalk’s Fall Fest. On September 11, Downtown Lafayette’s streets will close from 4 to 8 p.m. In addition to ArtWalk, there will also be an arts market featuring Louisiana Crafts Guild and Lafayette Art Association members as well as other artists, a children’s area presented by the Acadiana Center for the Arts, special art exhibits in its galleries, al fresco dining, music, dance presentations, and more street festivities.
